1. Information processed
Free access does not offer accounts, Google sign-in or collection of usage events such as reading and choices. Inquiry emails contain the sender’s address, message and information they provide. Server communications include IP addresses and related information that may be used for abuse prevention and incident response.
When production support opens, the name, email address and payment details entered at checkout are sent to Stripe. The operator uses transaction information available in the Stripe dashboard, including payment status, amount and contact details, only as needed for inquiries and accounting. This site does not store card details. Support is currently being prepared.
2. Purposes
Information is used to answer inquiries, correct content and address failures or abuse. If support opens, necessary information is also used to confirm payments, resolve accidental or duplicate payments and maintain accounting records. Rate limiting may use an identifier derived from an IP address received through a trusted communication path. It is not reused to analyse reading or choices.
3. Browser storage
Saved works, reading position, activity progress and choices are stored in the browser. These browser records are not sent to the server or synchronized across devices. Clearing site data removes these records. The display-language cookie lasts one year and can be deleted through browser settings.
4. Providers, retention and safeguards
The free edition serves static files from Xserver. It has no database for accounts or activity progress. Server access logs follow the hosting provider’s settings. The operator manages HTTPS and access permissions. Future authentication or payments will be described before introduction.
Inquiry records are retained for 90 days after closure; operator-managed incident records for 7 days. This static edition creates no database backups or rate-limit identifiers. Provider access-log retention follows the contract and actual settings. Usage events are not collected. Information required by law or for an ongoing dispute or abuse investigation is handled only as needed for that purpose.
Transaction records subject to accounting or tax retention requirements are kept for the legally required period. Inquiry and incident-log retention periods do not apply to those transaction records. See Stripe’s privacy policy for its own processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
5. Requests about personal information
Send privacy questions or requests for access, correction or deletion to the contact email above, describing the relevant information and requested action. Identity verification is limited to what is necessary; we do not ask for passwords or card numbers. We review the scope and response method and reply under applicable law.
